Paintings by Clyde E Kirkpatrick
Clyde E Kirkpatrick’s passion is depicting the infinitely changing moods of water and reflections, maritime art and nature. He is best known for his maritime art, “I am intrigued how reflections on water change and distort the forms of objects. I enjoy the elusive challenge of capturing the endless variety of textures found in subject matter on and around coastal environments.”
Clyde has enjoyed teaching art, drawing and watercolor at SouthWestern Oregon Community College in addition to Rogue Community College. For the past three years he has been teaching art in three schools on two islands off the coast of Belize. He and his wife, Sharon volunteer for eight months during the school year. Clyde and Sharon have pioneered an organization called Blessing Belize, to teach art and counsel traumatized and disadvantage Belizean children.
